Liqaa — Terms of Service

Welcome to Liqaa. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Liqaa website, applications, video conferencing services, and related features (collectively, the "Service").

Liqaa is operated by TAREK ("Liqaa", "we", "us", or "our") from Egypt and is intended for users worldwide.

By creating an account or using Liqaa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Liqaa.
  • If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use Liqaa only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
  • By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirements and are legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

2. Your Account

  • An account is required to use Liqaa. Guest access is not currently available.
  • You may create an account using an email address and password or through supported third-party authentication services such as Google.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information.
  • Keeping your password and account credentials secure.
  • Maintaining the security of your account.
  • All activity that occurs through your account.

You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are involved in abuse, fraud, security threats, or unlawful activity.

3. Meetings and Communication Features

Liqaa allows users to create and participate in online meetings, including features such as:

  • Video and audio communication.
  • Screen sharing.
  • Text chat.
  • Reactions.
  • Participant management.
  • Meeting links.
  • Password-protected meetings.
  • Recording.
  • Transcription and other AI-powered features.

Meeting hosts are responsible for managing their meetings and participants appropriately.

Hosts may have the ability to prevent participants from recording a meeting.

4. Meeting Recordings

  • Liqaa may provide recording functionality.
  • Where recording is enabled, participants will be notified that the meeting is being recorded.
  • Liqaa's standard recording functionality is designed to store recordings locally on the user's device, rather than automatically uploading the recording to Liqaa's servers.
  • Users are responsible for the security, storage, backup, and deletion of locally stored recordings.
  • A user must not record other people in violation of applicable laws or regulations. Depending on the location of participants, consent may be required before recording audio or video.
  • Liqaa is not responsible for a user's failure to obtain any legally required consent.

5. Transcription and AI Features

  • Liqaa may provide transcription and AI-powered features.
  • These features may process information from meetings in order to provide the requested functionality.
  • AI-generated results may contain errors and should not be treated as guaranteed accurate.
  • Users are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it.
  • Users must not use Liqaa's AI features for unlawful purposes or to violate another person's rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Liqaa to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse another person.
  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Conduct fraud, scams, or other deceptive activities.
  • Distribute malware or malicious software.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, meetings, systems, or infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Circumvent security or access controls.
  • Collect personal information from other users without appropriate authorization.
  • Distribute illegal or harmful content.
  • Use automated systems to abuse or overload the Service.
  • Use Liqaa for activities that could reasonably harm other users or the Service.

We may take appropriate action when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

7. Reporting and Blocking

Liqaa may provide features allowing users to:

  • Report another user.
  • Block another user.
  • Report a meeting.
  • Block or restrict accounts.

Reports may be reviewed to determine whether action is necessary.

Possible actions may include warnings, restrictions, suspension, or termination of an account.

We do not guarantee that every report will result in a particular action.

8. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content that you create or provide through Liqaa, subject to the rights necessary for us to operate the Service.
  • You are responsible for the content you transmit, upload, share, or communicate through Liqaa.
  • You must have the necessary rights and permissions to share such content.
  • You grant Liqaa the limited rights necessary to process and transmit your content solely to provide the requested Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of Liqaa is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

10. Third-Party Services

  • Liqaa may rely on third-party services and infrastructure providers, including services such as LiveKit and Cloudflare, to operate parts of the Service.
  • Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
  • We are not responsible for independent actions or failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control.

11. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable and secure service, but we do not guarantee that Liqaa will always be available or uninterrupted.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance.
  • Updates.
  • Network problems.
  • Infrastructure failures.
  • Security incidents.
  • Third-party service outages.
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

12. Free Service

  • Liqaa is currently provided free of charge.
  • We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, usage limits, or other pricing models in the future.
  • Any paid services introduced in the future will be subject to applicable terms and pricing information presented to users.

13. Intellectual Property

  • The Liqaa name, branding, website design, software, logos, interfaces, and other materials provided by Liqaa are owned by or licensed to TAREK and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Liqaa's proprietary materials without permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Liqaa and request deletion of your account where applicable.

We may suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that the user:

  • Violated these Terms.
  • Engaged in unlawful activity.
  • Threatened the security or integrity of the Service.
  • Abused other users.
  • Attempted to circumvent Service restrictions.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may provide notice before taking action.

15. Disclaimer

Liqaa is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will always be available.
  • Meetings will never disconnect.
  • Audio or video quality will always be perfect.
  • AI or transcription results will always be accurate.
  • The Service will be free from every technical or security issue.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TAREK will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use Liqaa.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

17. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time.
  • When we make significant changes, we may provide reasonable notice through the Service or other appropriate means.
  • Your continued use of Liqaa after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Liqaa is operated, subject to any mandatory consumer protection or other laws that apply to you.
